  • Hi there Looking at the instrucions, it says:
    "3. Use the ‘aho matua’ included inthis resource pack to attach thefeathers, starting along the top andthen going down so each child isrepresented on your korowai."
    I am unsure what the "aho matua" is.  Please help

      I've taken a look at this resource and the 'aho matua' banner is included in the zip pack. This is where the feathers will be attached. I hope this helps to clarify the instructions! Have a lovely day :)

Waitangi Korowai art activity. The treaty of Waitangi is a special topic that we celebrate here in New Zealand. We are a bi-cultural nation. This art activity can be used in your classroom to create a classroom korowai (cloak). The children use different art mediums to decorate the feathers and sign their names. They are then combined to make a korowai.
